Manuscript Cgm 94 contains four different works: firstly, a poem comprising 1,605 verses and preserved only in this manuscript (leaf 27r-76v) about the life of the Augsburg bishop Ulrich (923-973), who played an important role in the history of the Ottonian period empire during the Battle of Hungary on the Lechfeld in 955. The name of the poem's author, "Albertus", can be read in an acrostic at the beginning of the poem. Albertus is perhaps the same person as Prior Adilbert officially documented at St. Ulrich and Afra monastery until 1240, who wrote several Latin legends. The "Werk für religiöse Frauen" (Work for Religious Women) (v. 31) follows the chronological facts of Ulrich's life in a naive narrative style, with some freedom in the battle descriptions. Secondly, the manuscript contains a Latin Ulrich-Vita of the Reichenau Abbot Berno (1008-1048), which Albertus used as a source for his poem. Thirdly, the manuscript contains some German sayings (leaf 25 and 77). Cgm 94 was in use in Augsburg's St. Ulrich and Afra monastery, as can be seen from the possession note and entries by a certain Engelbirn. Fourthly, an eight-line entry of mystic-ecstatic considerations is contained in the manuscript by this Engelbirn, an anchoress for St. Ulrich in Augsburg or Würzburg around 1230 (leaf 80v-81v). Engelbirn mentions her name at the end of leaf 80. Leaf 81 follows with a brief prayer to Mary by her, in which the ego surrenders in eternal love to the Blessed Mother and her Son, "who has mastered our courtly love". She added another verse to the sacred song "Vil werden sele halt dich wert" and corrected it. Datum: 2016
