Tuchersaal, in: Album des Germanischen Nationalmuseums für Hans Christoph von Tucher, 1954

The museum honoured Hans Christoph von Tucher "in gratitude" with another album on the occasion of his 50th birthday in 1954: the large leather-covered capsule with a hinged lid contains 57 loose cardboard boxes with mounted, handwritten black-and-white photographs as "documents of the 500-year patronage of the dynasty of the Barons of Tucher". As in the 1949 commemorative edition, three photographs show the "Tuchersaal" from different angles. In the six years since its opening, an almost complete rearrangement of the works of art had taken place – probably with the intention of highlighting and clearly illustrating the content-related relationships between individual objects.
