Werbekatalog der Firma "Isidor Bach", München

Description

The very successful Jewish entrepreneur Isidor Bach opened a branch of his loden tailoring business, founded in Augsburg in 1872, on Munich's Marienplatz in 1878. Located in the state capital with his entire company, a clothing factory and a sales shop, since 1881, he moved into a newly built, 4-storey men's clothing store at Sendlingerstraße 5 in 1903, which Prince Regent Luitpold and his son Prince Ludwig also visited. At the same time as the opening of the new building, the Bach company celebrated its 25th anniversary in Munich, which is why the autumn and winter catalogue for the 1903 season was presented as an "anniversary catalogue". The opulently designed 32-page brochure presented in words and pictures (including prices) a selection of autumn and winter fashions for the upmarket men's and boys' wardrobe, but also for sportswear and work wear. The catalogue was, so to speak, the calling card for the "largest specialist shop in the industry in southern Germany".
