The manuscript, which was begun in 1537 and then continued by several different scribes until 1631, contains orders for the carpentry trade issued by the Munich City Council as of 1494. It deals, among other things, with remuneration, working hours, apprenticeships, break regulations, accommodating journeymen, the admission to master positions or the exact distinction of carpenters, joiners, bricklayers and stonemasons' individual activities.
