Description

The Munich Tourism Department of the Labour and Economic Affairs Department of the City of Munich uses the short film about the Trachten and Schützenzug to inspire potential tourists to visit the Oktoberfest. The intention of the video is to illustrate that in addition to the “Trachten disguise”, which is now obligatory when visiting the Wiesn, there are also “real Trachtler”. The film shows the aspect of customs and the cultivation of tradition in the context of the Oktoberfest.

Since 2019, the video has been presented on the Munich Tourism website (muenchen.travel) in time for the Oktoberfest, along with other films, photos and a wealth of stories and information about the Oktoberfest. At the same time, the footage is also played out via the social media channels and made available to external parties on request.
