Description
Drawings are given a great deal of attention in Fritz Koenig's oeuvre and have always asserted their independence from the sculptural work. This early work is brought to paper with a reed pen and ink in liquid contour. Koenig masterfully grasps the essence of the cow, which is about to lie down, with just a few gestures.
