Berthold Furtmeyr: Renaissance Book Illuminations from Ratisbon
Berthold Furtmeyr (ascertainable 1460-1502) from Ratisbon was one of the most important book illuminators of his time. Twenty splendidly illustrated manuscripts are presented in this main theme. The high-level book illuminations of the codices preserved in Munich, Augsburg, Heidelberg and London were created either by Furtmeyr himself or by artists connected to him.
